- Undertake comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, identify and prioritise consumer and family needs, including risk assessment and management.
- Develop collaborative care plans within a recovery framework that works towards discharge from the service.
- Refer to and engage with supporting agencies such as NDIS, forensic assessment services, private psychologist and GP
- Monitoring of physical health conditions and promotion of physical well being.
- 'Co-ordinate admission to the inpatient unit and actively engage with the inpatient unit to facilitate discharge planning.
- Current registration, or eligible for with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Approved degree/ diploma or post graduate degree from recognised educational facility
- Recent clinical experience in a mental health setting including inpatient and/or community.
- Well-developed mental health and risk assessment skills
- Good knowledge of the recovery model and how this informs engage with clients and families.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the MHA 2014 and other relevant legislation, policies and strategic directions of Public Mental Health Services

About the role
We're seeking a self-motivated, compassionate, suitably qualified, with mental health experience to work as -Community Mental Health Practitioners and Nurses for positions within our team. Consideration may be given to part time and some flexibility in workplace arrangements for the successful applicant.
You will be able to work collaboratively with clients to achieve better life goals through individualised supports, partnerships with services, education supports. Assisting those you work with in enhanced recovery, knowledge of mental health illness and treatment options, personal growth and activities of daily living
Clinicians who undertake a career at GAMHS will find the role is both challenging and rewarding, as a member of the multi-disciplinary team you will be responsible for provision of evidence based focused interventions to recipients of our service., who are adults aged years.
