    Your Impact

    The Fairport finance team leads and supports the business operations for Qualitrol's two North American based manufacturing sites (Fairport & Toronto).

    As a member of the team, you will report to the Assistant Controller and work closely with the teams supporting both sites along with Qualitrol Senior Leadership.


    Here's where you'll demonstrate your competencies:
    Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financials, forecasts, and the annual budget. Track employee headcount throughout the year to assist in budgetary planning.
    Provide internal management reporting and perform variance analysis. Present monthly expense and key metrics reports to assigned budget owners.
    Identify and drive cost reductions, operational improvements, and initiatives to improve financial performance.

    Support Qualitrol's Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and testing compliance program and assist in ongoing review and monitoring of actual versus corporate mandated internal controls.

    Ensure accounting conforms to GAAP and meets SOX requirements.
    Attend internal audit trainings to ensure ongoing understanding of control changes and implementation of new controls at Qualitrol.
    Responsible for timely and accurate submission of monthly balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with local and Corporate finance policy.

    Manage Qualitrol's relationship with the Fortive Payroll team, perform all payroll related journal entries, accrual calculation and entries, and partner with Operations leaders to provide timely and useful labor information to improve decision making and meet budgetary goals.

    Supervise and maintain expense report and travel portal, provide data and analytics to leadership on related costs and maintain audit tool functionality to increase compliance and decrease excess costs.

    Maintain strong interactive relationships with internal customers by listening, clarifying and responding effectively on matters such as financial results, special reporting requests and business process support.

    Lead in development and implementation of new process, procedures and/or features to enhance the workflow of the department utilizing FBS tools.

    Support Assistant Controller and Finance Director with special projects, workflow process improvements, ad-hoc reporting requests, budgeting and forecast activities.

    Skills & Experience
    The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

    BS or MBA in Accounting, Business and/or Finance. CPA or CMA is preferred.
    Experience with technical accounting and US GAAP (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
    Ability to influence others at all levels and across functional responsibilities and lead people with a collaborative style.
    Ability to drive initiatives across multiple sites and functional responsibilities.
    ERP System experience is a plus (Oracle/Onestream).

    National:

    The salary range for this position is $67,700 - $125,900

    Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to:

    job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
