    JOB SUMMARY

    A People and Culture Coordinator at POET performs a wide variety of confidential and detailed tasks if you love variety and a fast pace you will thrive in this role In this position you will have the opportunity to coordinate learning programs, organize new hire orientation, create and prepare a variety of materials, manage our learning & development systems, support our onboarding experience and so much more This position requires a high degree of collaboration with others and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The People & Culture Coordinator is a central hub of core activity for the business partner team; if you love adding value to people, have exceptional mental agility, and outstanding communication skillswe want to see you in this role

    DURING A TYPICAL DAY

    • Create, prepare, and distribute materials for presentations, meetings, and events.
    • Schedule and coordinate weekly new hire orientation. Create new hire announcements and post to POETs intranet.
    • File, label, organize, and manage team member files in our database.
    • Manage content in our Learning Management System and coordinate a variety of learning programs offered to team members.
    • Create and draft letters, correspondence, and documents related to a variety of People & Culture items.
    • Research updates on applicable HR laws and guidelines. Support the HR Business Partners in educating employees and enforcing company policies.
    • Conduct exit interviews and ensure smooth offboarding procedures.
    • Serve as a point of contact for team member inquiries regarding People & Culture policies and procedures.
    • Support POETs Onboarding and Employee Experiences.
    • Administer POETs random drug & alcohol program.
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor law posters. Manage external vendor relationships.
    • Gather and compile data for the People & Culture Partners to be able to analyze trends.
    • Assist with ad-hoc People & Culture projects as needed.
    • Since were all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skills may be put to a lot of other uses

    STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

    • Bachelors degree required; in a related field preferred.
    • Two years working in a Human Resources field or related role preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience with confidentiality and sensitive information.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to complete a wide variety of tasks accurately and efficiently.
    • Ability to prepare presentations on confidential material.
    • Able to exercise discretion, initiative, and independent judgment in making sound decisions and in developing solutions to problems.
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to change.
    • Growth mindset with a desire to grow HR skillset.
