    What You Will Do:
    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Robotics Engineer to join our forward-thinking team.

    In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, programming, and optimizing robotic systems for the manufacturing processes of our electric pickup truck's body structure.

    Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing efficiency, precision, and overall excellence in our production operations, with a specific focus on the integration of Spot Resistance Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and Laser Welding systems to robots, along with material handling end effector integration.


    Responsibilities:
    Prioritize safety above all to protect our team members, partners, and customers.

    Design, program, and optimize robotic systems for BIW manufacturing processes, including the integration of Spot Resistance Welding, GMAW welding, and Laser Welding systems to robots.

    Develop and implement material handling end effectors for robotic systems to enhance automation in welding and assembly processes.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand BIW design requirements and provide insights on the PLC and MES integration of robotic systems for optimal efficiency.

    Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed robotic welding and material handling projects, providing comprehensive recommendations for implementation.
    Work closely with product engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and optimize robotic systems for continuous improvement.

    Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in robotic welding and material handling, incorporating innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency.

    Collaborate with external suppliers to design, build, execute, source, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge robotic technologies.


    What You Will Need:

    Basics:
    Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics and Robotics engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

    Proven experience as a Robotics Engineer in a manufacturing environment, with expertise in integrating Spot Resistance Welding, GMAW welding, Laser Welding, and material handling end effectors to robotic systems.

    In-depth knowledge of robotic system design, programming, and optimization for welding applications and material handling.

    Proven experience with control system design, PLC programming, HMIs, and automation technologies, with proficiency in Rockwell/Allen Bradley systems, and interfacing with MES systems.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
    Experience working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to achieve project goals.
    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
    Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality in robotic system design and implementation.

    Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Robotics Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry, with expertise in integrating welding systems and material handling end effectors to robotic systems.


    Preferred:
    Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics and Robotics engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
