Overview:
Bridge of Promise is looking for a dynamic Program Manager to lead a team of support staff, create a monthly calendar of community outings for members, plan a detailed daily program schedule, and provide support to members in their program activities.
Bridge of Promise's mission is to enrich the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities by providing recreational, educational, and social programs.
Responsibilities:
Provide daily management of direct support staff, including task delegation, motivating staff members, training on key duties, and acting as a mentor.
Cultivate a positive, professional, and supportive workplace culture.
Develop and maintain a monthly schedule of community outings. Effectively communicate schedules to member families and facilitate the completion of necessary release forms from parents for field trips.
Establish and build relationships with local businesses to organize activities for members and negotiate pricing.
Design and implement a detailed daily program schedule, ensuring a diverse range of engaging activities.
Prioritize member safety and well-being both within the program and during community outings.
Collaborate with parents to address member-related issues, including care needs or behavioral concerns, as they arise.
Serve as a liaison, effectively communicating staff and member needs to the Deputy Director.
Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in all program spaces.
Responsible for the opening and closing procedures of the program building each day.

Experience in Disability Support:
Demonstrates an understanding of the disabled community's needs and the importance of choice and engagement. Trained on CPR, de-escalation techniques, and positive behavior support. Skilled in both verbal and non-verbal communication, recognizing the nuances between behavior and communication. Assists with personal care as needed; experience planning and scheduling adaptive activities.
Effective Communication:
Communicates clearly and professionally with staff, members, parents and key vendors both verbally and in writing. Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback to enhance performance and maintain constructive relationships.
Multi-tasker:
Manages multiple projects concurrently with ease, adapting quickly to meet evolving needs and priorities effectively.
Problem Solver:
Independently solves problems, embracing mistakes as learning opportunities, learns from mistakes, and seeks assistance when necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Budget Management:
Responsible for managing the monthly budget efficiently, ensuring resources are allocated to maximize program effectiveness.
Operational Excellence:
Ensures the program's alignment with the organization mission and goals, maintaining high standards for safety, cleanliness, engagement, and individual
choice. Prepares a detailed plan for each day and executes accordingly.
People Management Skills:
Establishes a culture of excellence and professionalism within the workplace, clearly. communicating standards and providing staff with the necessary training and resources for success.
Physical Aptitude:
Possesses physical capability to stand/walk for extended periods, perform various tasks such as bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
Proven experience in team management.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including familiarity with behavioral interventions and caregiving practices.
Successful completion of Washington State and Federal Background Checks.
Able to be certified in CPR and First Aid.
Proficient in legible writing, reading, and communicating in English.
High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
