    Responsibilities:

    RiverView Health is seeking a full-time Financial Counselor to assist patients with healthcare funding applications, payment options, and financial inquiries. The role involves maintaining the financial integrity of the organization through accurate payment recording, addressing insurance queries, and collecting patient payments. The Financial Counselor will also handle cashier duties and provide excellent customer service. The starting salary is $26.16 per hour based on experience.

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or GED equivalent
    • MN HPE Certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire)
    • Minimum 1 year healthcare field experience
    • Minimum 1 year customer service experience
    • Preferred: 1-2 years medical billing, clerical, or customer service experience
    • Preferred: 1-2 years payment posting and reconciliation experience
    • Preferred: Certified Application Counselor
    • Preferred: Experience with EPIC software system
    • Preferred: Grant writing experience
    • Preferred: Knowledge of healthcare insurance billing and reimbursement
