    Location: Atlanta GA (Hybrid) OR Dallas TX(Hybrid)

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform Migration Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. As a Platform Migration Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the migration of technology platforms, systems, or applications. Your expertise will ensure the seamless transition of digital assets while minimizing downtime and mitigating potential risks.


    • Total 10+ years of experience


    • Java 8+ yrs


    • 5 + years of experience with Cloud technologies(Azure , AWS and GCP)

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Develop comprehensive migration plans that outline scope, timelines, resource requirements, and risk assessments.

    2. Evaluate the current platform, its dependencies, and the target environment to identify potential issues and compatibility challenges.

    3. Execute data migration, ensuring data integrity, and minimal business disruption.

    4. Conduct rigorous testing to verify that the new platform functions correctly and meets performance and security standards.

    5. Identify and mitigate potential risks that could disrupt the migration process or compromise data security.

    6. Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on the progress of the migration.

    7. Create and maintain detailed documentation of the migration process for future reference.

    8. Promptly resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the migration process.

    Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).


    • Proven experience in platform migration, system integration, or related roles.


    • Strong technical expertise in relevant technologies, systems, and applications.


    • Project management skills with the ability to plan and execute migrations within specified timelines.


    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues.


    • Knowledge of data migration strategies and tools.


    • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and progress reporting.


    • Ability to develop and maintain detailed documentation.


    • Strong analytical skills to assess platform compatibility.


    • Proficiency in testing methodologies and quality assurance.


    • Awareness of cybersecurity measures to protect data during migration.

    A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position is $150K/year to $160K/year with benefits.
