    Overview of the Nonprofit Controller role:

    • Provide leadership and guidance to dedicated staff members within the organization.
    • Take charge of financial and grant accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    • Manage treasury services, investments, and financial reporting to support organizational goals.
    • Prepare the Monthly Financial Report for the Board of Directors, communicating financial information effectively.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies by preparing quarterly CARE reports for submission to DSHS and HHSC.
    • Maintain the chart of accounts and report structures within the financial reporting software for streamlined reporting.
    • Generate monthly invoices for contracts with County and State agencies, overseeing contract management and financial obligations.
    • Prepare the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, collaborating with external auditors to meet reporting standards.
    • Respond promptly to requests from Center management, auditors, and stakeholders, offering collaborative support.
    • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer to contribute to the teams success.
