Thisleader focuses on providing value added, quality tax information to ourinternal and external customers while mentoring and developingRenewables and other tax team members.
This leader supports theimplementation of tools and process enhancements designed to increaseorganizational effectiveness and will also build and maintain strongrelationships with internal customers.
This role is hybrid, includingsome remote working and reports to the VP of Tax. The position requires1 -4 weeks of travel. This position will be responsible for Renewables(Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies, etc.) tax accounting andreporting. Experience with tax equity partnerships, credits/incentives,HLBV accounting and/or renewable energy desired.Responsibilities:
Oversee tax accounting & reporting processes and procedures forRenewables joint ventures to ensure compliance with GAAP & IFRSaccounting requirements (including SEC reporting) and with federal,state & local monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliancerequirements.
Perform income tax accounting research associated with new businesstransactions, etc. and prepare associated documentation memos.
Strategize and address complex customer service needs as a lead TaxDepartment contact with Renewables business and finance leads.
Responsible for tax budgeting & forecasting impacts of Renewablesjoint ventures.
Direct and train tax staff and/or guide co-source personnel assignedto assist with these activities.
Maintains tax efficiency in all aspects of assignedresponsibilities, including compliance and reporting as the businesscontinues to evolve through expansion and other opportunities.
Skills and Requirements:
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax with a minimum of10+ years relevant experience required. Masters in taxation, LawDegree and/or CPA preferred.
Strong understanding of Subchapter K required. Experience with TaxEquity Investment (TEI) Partnerships and Hypothetical Liquidation atBook Value (HLBV) preferred.
Experience in the renewable energy business desired.
Skills/Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong project management and analytical skills.
Detailed knowledge of SEC tax reporting requirements.
Knowledge of income tax accounting requirements under IFRS.Strong tax technical writing skills.
Ability to review and identify the income tax impact of relevantdocuments (i.e., financing agreements, operating contracts,partnership agreements, etc.).Ability to train and teach other individuals.
