The team at Alaska Eye Care Centers is experienced and well-qualified, offering services such as comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosis and management of various eye health conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, as well as fitting specialty contact lenses.

This vital role involves diagnosing and treating a range of eye conditions, conducting comprehensive eye exams, and contributing to our patients' overall health and well-being.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct Comprehensive Eye Exams: Detailed assessments of vision and eye health.
    • Prescription Management: Prescribe and fit lenses based on patient needs.
    • Diagnosis and Treatment: Manage eye conditions, provide care or referrals.
    • Patient Education: Communicate health information and treatment plans.
    • Ocular Disease Management: Monitor and treat eye diseases.
    • Surgical Care: Pre- and post-operative care, as well as procedures allowed to the extent of Alaska's scope of practice (e.g. YAG procedures)
    • Record Keeping: Maintain patient records.
    • Professional Development: Stay updated with industry advancements.

    Qualifications:

    • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree.
    • Valid state optometry license.
    • Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Commitment to patient care and professional development.

    Working Conditions:

    • Full-time, Monday to Friday.
    • Split time between Anchorage and Wasilla locations
    • Clinical and office environments.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Potential Total Compensation (Depending on Experience): $145,000 - $200,000
