Job Description
Proven track record of designing and implementing QA processes for complex data systems, data intensive projects and migrations.
Hands-on experience with data quality tools and frameworks.
Expertise in quality assurance methodologies and practices applied to data systems, specifically Snowflake.
Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and schema design.

Experience in designing and implementing test strategies for data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehousing, data lakes, and data migration projects.

Proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing within Snowflake environments.

Responsibilities include:
Develop and implement quality assurance strategies and best practices for data systems, with a specific focus on Snowflake.

Collaborate with data architects and engineers to define test requirements and design comprehensive test plans for data pipelines, ETL processes, and data migration projects.

Conduct functional, integration, regression, performance, and data migration testing of data solutions within Snowflake environments.
Create and execute SQL scripts for data validation, integrity checks, and performance tuning.
Automate data testing processes to improve efficiency and scalability of QA efforts.
Monitor data quality metrics and collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve issues.
Establish and enforce data quality standards, governance processes, and documentation.

Certifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Certifications in quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB) or related areas are desirable but not mandatory.

Primary Skills :
Knowledge of various data testing methodologies and techniques, including:

Functional testing:
Validating data transformations, business rules, and calculations.

Integration testing:
Verifying data integration across systems and platforms.

Regression testing:
Ensuring existing functionalities remain unaffected after changes.

Performance testing:
Assessing data processing speed, scalability, and resource utilization.

Data migration testing:
Validating data completeness, accuracy, and consistency during migration processes.

Secondary Skills :
Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, especially those integrated with Snowflake (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience with data governance and compliance standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and stakeholders.
Leadership capabilities to guide and mentor QA team members.
Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data quality issues.
