    SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM - Jessup, MD

    What you'll get out of this program:

    • Personality survey "reading" and connection to your future
      1. We utilize the OAD survey to determine your personality make-up and preferences
      2. We'll work with you to understand your workplace strengths and motivators
    • 1 day "Masters Class in the Distribution business"
      1. Visit our Corporate Headquarters in New Castle, DE
        1. You'll get an overview of core business functions (ie Accounting, Purchasing, Human Resources, etc)
      2. Exposure to an executive level meeting
      3. Opportunity to present project outcomes to United hiring managers

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Physical work accurately picking material in our warehouse using Radio Frequency technology or RF Skanner's
    • Participate in weekly Intern "huddle" calls where they will collaborate with other interns, debrief on work experiences and experience professional coaching from mentors
    • Special Project work to be assigned based on location
      1. Researching new software tool
      2. Proactive calling to customers
      3. Training asset creation
    • Required LLL (Lifelong Learning) online courses designed to expose you to Professional Development/Lifelong learning in the workplace

    • Actively working towards some degree of education (i.e. HS Diploma, Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree)
