    • General Surgeon


    Located on the picturesque Maine coastline, Waldo County General Hospital is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join its expanding medical staff.

    Work within a regional healthcare system with a large primary care referral network to help serve the coastal Maine communities.

    Join a collaborative team that is well respected within the community. Practice alongside one physician and one Nurse Practitioner caring for the coastal community.


    The ideal candidate would be a team player working collaboratively with the surgery team as well as the OR staff.

    Comfortable with a broad spectrum of surgical coverage including endoscopy work.

    A member of the MaineHealth system, Waldo County General Hospital (WCGH) is a 25 bed critical access full-service community hospital located directly on beautiful Penobscot Bay in Belfast, Maine.

    We offer inpatient and outpatient care to the coastal communities of Maine with Hospitalist Services, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services, patient and community education, and a full-range of specialty services through the Emergency Department, and the Surgical Services Department.

    Our medical staff also serves our rural communities as well, with four rural health centers, which increases access to primary care in our area.
