Job summary

Assemblers perform a wide variety of routine manufacturing functions in one or more of the following areas: electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies, set-up and calibration of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies, manufacturing equipment operation, labeling, loading racks with parts for the Surface Mount technology machine, and returning parts back to stock, prepping or hand placing components, may assist with rework on assemblies as a result of testing, assists in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations, performs simple, routine work within area of specialization, selects appropriate processes from clearly documented travelers, rules, practices, or instruction, seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from Supervisor, responsible for following established safety rules & 6S, other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Good eyesight and hand coordination
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to read & understand assembly prints
  • Ability to work in a team environment with moderate supervision
  • Good attention to detail
  • IPC 610 or 620 certification is a plus. And/or ability to obtain and maintain such certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing equipment operation
  • Labeling
  • Loading racks with parts for the Surface Mount technology machine, and returning parts back to stock

  • May assist with rework on assemblies as a result of testing
  • Assists in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations
  • Performs simple, routine work within area of specialization
  • Selects appropriate processes from clearly documented travelers, rules, practices, or instruction
  • Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from Supervisor

  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary
