    Job Description

    Scope
    :

    The Product Safety Engineer - ES performs requirements analysis and management, technical planning, systems level design, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk management, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

    Also performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into systems specifications.

    Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include:

    concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.

    Ensure the logistical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total system solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.


    Responsibilities & Tasks:
    Perform requirements management, analysis, and allocations on complex systems design
    Lead complex systems level architecture design and perform system level modeling and simulation.
    Lead cost estimates to support engineering activities.
    Execute program while providing technical leadership.
    Recommend tools to improve systems engineering design of a product and procedures.
    Develop systems specifications, master test plans, and other necessary artifacts.
    Provide inputs into the integrated master schedules and track program progress.
    Assist in verification and validation responsibilities.
    Fully understand internal systems engineering procedures and mentor entry level engineers.
    Other related duties assigned by supervisor.
    Work to program schedule requirements.
    Possible Domestic and International Travel.
    Qualifications


    Required:

    Hold an accredited Bachelor's Degree in:
    Computer Science, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Electro-optical, Software or Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, Other related Engineering Degrees
    14+ years of relevant experience
    Experience with MIL-STD-882
    Experience with ARP4761
    Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
    This position does not offer Visa Sponsorship
    Experience in Identifying Product Safety Requirements
    Experience completingSafety analysis for R&D programs
    Experience submitting analysis documents andreports to military customers working to customer data requirements.
    Experience participating in technical reviews.
    Experience converting customer requirements to system and LRU requirements.
    Ability to interface and coordinate work with customers, contractors,outside service providers, andother engineering organizations such as Design, Software, and Test Engineering
    Ability to work at System assembly and component level.
    Ability to prepare documents of high quality for customer submittal.

    Preferred:
    Knowledge of Hazardous Materials
    Previous R&D experience with electronics
    Previous experience assisting with new business proposals and cost estimating.
    Military Ground Systems, Airborne Systems and Weapon Systems experience
