Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our client in a temp to hire role. The Material Handler will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of materials within our facility.

This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain correct material levels as all machines per the order specifications
• Prepare materials for production by picking, packing, and staging according to job requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and perform regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
• Retrieve materials from inventory and deliver them to production areas as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and production floors.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified forklift driver
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Proficiency in operating material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating inventory quantities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
