    Our client, located in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Production/Travel Support Specialist to join their team

    The Production and Travel Support Specialist supports the sales department by coordinating travel for sales, demo and installation trips. Supports the production purchasing department by assisting in ordering parts, shipping systems and assisting with all paperwork and support related to proper and timely purchasing and delivery of products.

    Production Support Duties Include:

    • Coordinates domestic and international shipping of units to ensure timely deliveries. If there is a shipping delay of any kind, promptly notify purchasing manager, finance manager and sales POC.
    • Handles shipping delays of any kind, promptly notify purchasing manager, finance manager and sales POC. Correspond with shipping company to resolve issue as quickly as possible
    • Prepares all paperwork associated with shipments and ensures all documentation is accurate
    • Provide shipping assistance as requested for sample returns, trade show materials and units, parts and RMA's
    • Assists the purchasing department with receiving and purchasing of parts and materials
    • Achieves department productivity goals by complying with established priorities and work procedures, along with utilizing good time management skills
    • Ability to work efficiently within production time standards to meet production deadlines
    • Complies with all company polices and procedures, including safety requirements
    Travel Support Duties Include:
    • Assists all company employees and sales reps with travel plans that meet customer needs, minimize cost, and taking into consideration personnel capacity/capabilities. Review customer locations for potential other customer visits
    • Attends weekly travel meeting to schedule/plan upcoming travel
    • Provide each traveling employee with itinerary packet(s) including via email and copies of all travel arrangements both in hard copy and pdf format
    • Verify and confirm appropriate travel documents are in place for employee to travel ie visas and passports. Assist employees in obtaining passports and securing renewals. Assist employees with the completing of the application and obtaining passport photos
    • Update weekly on-call schedule, update online reporting for Answering Service as needed
    • Sends weekly emails to the company staff every Monday by noon with the calendar schedule for current and upcoming travel events. Maintains and updates the company travel calendar
    • Update and maintain a company shipping guide
    • Other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met
    Experience and Education Required :
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Two (2) years in a technically oriented or manufacturer environment.
    • Working knowledge of Office Word, Excel and Powerpoint
    • General knowledge of ERP systems
    Salary $45K to $50 K plus excellent benefits
