    Description

    Christ Health Center has an excellent opportunity for a Radiologic Technologist to join our team.

    As a Radiologic Technologist you will perform and analyze patient x-rays and report results to our physician and provider team.

    The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for conducting patient x-rays.

    Major Duties & Responsibilities:
    Job Skills


    • Prepares and positions patients for imaging and selects exposure factors accurately.
    • Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
    • Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
    • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
    • Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to an imaging system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
    • Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
    • Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
    • Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately
    • Attends and participates in in-service education for staff, quality assurance program, and risk-management programs.
    • Each employee of Christ Health Center is vital to providing overall quality care to our patients and may be included in the patient care team and daily huddle when deemed necessary by the Core Care Team.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Requirements

    Required Skills/abilities


    • Ability to assign priorities and coordinates the work to relieve bottlenecks and ensure an even flow of clinic services.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
    • Requires effective interpersonal skills
    • Requires analytical skills, attention to detail, effective organization skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to self-direct with minimal supervision.
    • Requires the ability to work in a multi-cultural setting (Bi-Lingual in Spanish is preferred)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    Qualification, Education, Experience


    • Associates' degree or Technical degree in Radiology or Diagnostic Imaging required
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
    Physical/Mental Demands


    • Work requires the ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
    • Long periods of standing as well as ability to stoop and bend, to reach, and grab with arms and hands
