About the Employer

San Bruno Park is a linguistically and culturally diverse school district in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Located at the northern tip of Silicon Valley and just 10 miles south of San Francisco, this small preschool to grade 8 district is the home to five elementary schools and one middle school.

Home to YouTube, and numerous other businesses, the city is a hub for tech and innovation.

The city is geographically diverse, ranging from the urban flatlands to the central greenspace of the San Bruno City Park to the grand sweeping Bay vistas from the highest hilltops of the community.

Through the generous support of the San Bruno community, the district is the recipient of a recent facilities bond to rebuild aging infrastructure.

The district maintains a strong financial position as a result of new and increasing revenue sources.

The San Bruno Park Board of Directors recently approved a 9.5% raise over two years for all educators in the district demonstrating its commitment to attract and retain talented staff across the district.

Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Associate Superintendent, s/he is responsible for accomplishment of objectives of District's Child Nutrition program; plans, organizes, and coordinates all aspects of the district-wide Child Nutrition Program; develops a business plan, a marketing plan, and budget for the Department, and coordinates financial transactions and details of the Child Nutrition Service operation, in conjunction with food services contractor if appropriate; Assist in training operations manager, cafeteria lead cooks and other child nutrition employees in scratch cooking, food preparation techniques, technology program, and provides training in various marketing programs; supervises and evaluates kitchen staff.

In collaboration with Associate Superintendent, within the context of the district staff professional development program and contract interpretation and provides personnel training to child nutrition services staff; Communicates with Administration and student groups at all schools concerning the planning of the program and its quality.

Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required. Participates in State and Federal Program audits.
