    Assisted Hygiene Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with children and a deep understanding of pediatric dental care. As a Pediatric Dental Hygienist at "APDO", you will play a crucial role in maintaining the oral health of our young patients and creating a positive and educational dental experience.

    Hygiene bonus structure and uniforms

    • Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
    • Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
    • Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
    • Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
    • Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
    • Administer Local Anesthetic and take X-rays as needed
    • Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases
    • Sterilize dental instruments properly
    Requirements

    Requirements
    • Proven experience as Dental Hygienist
    • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
    • Local anesthesia licensed (or planning to get certification)
    • Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
    • Strong communication skills, especially when interacting with children and parents.
    • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with young patients.
    • Proficiency in using dental software for charting and record-keeping.
    • Knowledge of infection control protocols and maintaining a sterile environment.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
    • Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
