The City of Woodstock is a charming historic community of 25,630, located 55 miles northwest of Chicago on Metra rail. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Woodstock is a community unlike any other boasting historic 19th century buildings, dining, entertainment, accommodations, specialty shops, professional services, art galleries and live theater. The City employs approximately 346 (full, part-time and seasonal) employees in a variety of departments within the organization, such as Office of the City Manager, Building & Zoning, Economic Development, Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, Public Library, Opera House, Police, Public Works, and Recreation. JOB SUMMARY

The City of Woodstock is seeking a Limited Part-Time Custodian (2 positions available) with the Woodstock Opera House. The position may work up to but no more than 20 hours per week.

This position performs custodial duties for the Woodstock Opera House and Old Courthouse Center. Responsibilities include cleaning of the buildings and grounds as well as light maintenance duties as required. The work is performed under the direction of the Opera House Production Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma/equivalent.
Previous custodial experience.

SALARY: Wage is $15.00 per hour. There are no additional benefits.
