Locums OB/GYN Hospitalist Job in Austin, Texas

A leading hospital in Austin, Texas seeks a locum tenens OB/GYN hospitalist to provide GYN coverage. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing high-quality care to patients and able to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Details:

Clinical Role: Provide GYN coverage, including first assist on occasion for private cases
Hours of Operation: ASAP - Ongoing Need

Program Objectives:

Provide L&D Support: Ensure consistent high-quality care by providing L&D support to patients
Expand Access to Care: Expand access to care for women in the community by providing comprehensive OB/GYN services
Respond to OBED within 30 minutes: Respond promptly to OBED calls within 30 minutes to ensure timely and effective care
24-7 OBED Coverage: Provide backup/Oversight for OB residents 24/7 to ensure seamless coverage

Facility Features:

Total Hospital Deliveries (annual avg.): 600
Total Hospital/Clinic GYN Surgery Volume (annual avg.): 150
8 Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) rooms: Available for patient care
5 Postpartum rooms: Designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for postpartum patients
C-Section Operating Room: Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for C-section deliveries
Nursery - Level 4: Staffed by experienced nurses to provide high-quality care to newborns
Anesthesia: On-Call 24/7: Anesthesiologists available 24/7 to provide anesthesia services as needed
MFM: Multidisciplinary fetal medicine team available to provide expert care to patients with complex fetal conditions
Fetal Monitoring System: Centricity: Advanced fetal monitoring system used to track fetal well-being
EMR used in Hospital: Epic: Electronic medical record system used to manage patient information and orders
EMR used in Clinic: Athena: Electronic medical record system used to manage patient information and orders in the clinic setting
Current OR days for Clinicians: Wednesdays
