    Role and Responsibilities

    Outpatient is a program developed to provide behavioral health services to consumers with serious mental illness, requiring extended comprehensive behavioral health support services in a non-hospital, community-based setting.

    Brief outline of position

    • Functions under the direction and supervision of the Outpatient Director
    • Provides support to clinical staff.
    • Promotes continuity of care, by ensuring that clinical staff are working toward the same objectives.
    • Implements program goals and objectives, related to assigned staff.
    • Ensures staff perform all aspects of consumer care in an environment that optimizes safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care or safety errors.
    • Provide initial and ongoing administrative and clinical training to new and current clinical personnel.
    • Provide individual and group supervision as deemed necessary and document all provided as meets state and county requirements.
    • Carry a limited caseload as deemed necessary.
    • Conduct individual therapy and complete corresponding documentation.
    • Support and ensure quality and timeliness of provision of services and all categories involved in pay for performance.
    • Conduct clinical meetings as directed.
    • Communicate with referral sources and company representatives as needed to support relationships and address concerns/problems.
    • Collaborate with other departments as needed regarding client services (i.e. Case Management CIRC,) and all members of the treatment team to ensure comprehensive client mental health needs.
    • Manages client files by conducting regular internal audits to ensure proper documentation is present and all licensing regulations are met.
    • Assist in the facilitation and administration of satisfaction surveys with clients and families.
    • Participate in monthly utilization review meetings.
    • Provide recommendations and assist in the coordination of aftercare planning for members.
    • Complete all documentation required by City, State, and program guidelines.
    • Provides crisis intervention when necessary.
    • All other duties as assigned by Outpatient Director

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONS REQUIREMENTS

    Master's Degree in one of the social sciences. Must have psychiatric experience including group therapy. Must have valid Driver's license. Licensed preferred.

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    Days and hours for this position8:30 am-5:00 pm.
