    Description
    Summary You will serve as a INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DEPARTMENT of SWFLANT KINGS BAY. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13.

    Responsibilities You will serve as the SWFLANT Security Specialist assigned to provide technical guidance, policy interpretation and authoritative direction in INFOSEC and Security Education Training and Awareness to provide policy and process oversight.

    You will research, analyze, interpret and implement Executive Orders, DoD/DON security policies and regulations to draft SWFLANT policy and business processes.

    You will counsel, advise and make recommendations to the SWFLANT derivative classifiers and integrated SETA program.

    You will participate in and/or conduct security assist visits and/or inspections to ensure SWFLANT is in compliance with establish policies and procedures.

    You will monitor all security violations across the national organization to find trends, root causes and determine preventive and corrective measures.

    You will assist the CSM in the safeguard and distribution of all National Security Information, Controlled Unclassified Information, Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information, Critical Nuclear Weapon Design Information and Restricted Data.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.


    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

    providing security (e.g., information, physical, operations, industrial, personnel) policy interpretations and implementing instructions; and analyzing and resolving security issues.
