    Job Description
    Per the agency's mission statement, policies and procedures, professional Code of Ethics, State of Michigan licensing,
    and COA standards, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for implementing the agency's clinical initiatives that
    support efforts toward reducing lengths of stay, coercive interventions and improving permanency planning efforts for
    youth in residential treatment settings. This position focuses on clinical quality improvement projects that builds clinical
    expertise, program innovation, and outcome-based results.

    TASKS OF THE POSITION
    Clinical Supervision


    • Provides direct supervision to program therapists and youth/family specialists.
    • Leads and supports integrated health meetings to build collaboration and drives.
    • Conducts scheduled supervision sessions with Therapists/ Youth & Family Specialists with solid documentation.
    • May hold group supervision as necessary to address any clinical risks or ensure quality clinical care.
    • Utilizes best practice clinical supervision modalities.
    • Identifies specific training opportunities for Therapists, and other clinical program staff to advance clinical
    knowledge in mental health and trauma.
    Clinical Innovation


    • Researches, recommends, and incorporates best practice clinical models and interventions that can support the
    agency's philosophy of care and achievement of improved clinical outcomes for youth and families.


    • Investigates and recommends evidence-based treatment models to improve existing programs and/or new pilot
    programs.
    Clinical Quality Improvement


    • Selects and implements key clinical assessments to best support new program efforts as directed.
    • Designs, updates, and disseminates program logic models to ensure that models are current and understood and
    applied by clinical and direct care staff.


    • Compares desired and actual program outcomes and recommends changes to program and logic models.
    Performs all other duties as required or requested by the agency.


    • Collaborates with program leaders to plan, assess, or evaluate specific programs to ensure fidelity to our program
    models and expected outcomes. Supports the development of program outcomes measures, works with program
    leaders and Quality leader to develop corrective action plans.


    • Supports the Director, Clinical Services with the launch of new programs and or implementation of new
    interventions by developing training materials, process or workflows or onboarding materials.
    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES


    • Strong interpersonal & written communication skills.
    • Clear and concise written and verbal reports.
    • Skilled with Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerbait platforms.
    • Stays abreast of the latest clinical evidence based or promising practices associated with youth and families
    experiencing mental health and trauma.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
    Therapists and Youth & Family Specialists
    QUALIFICATION (EDUCATION / TRAINING)

    Required:

    • Master's degree in human behavioral science from an accredited college or university.
    • Five years' experience in mental health, trauma and conducting assessments and interpret results and developing
    treatment plans (such as CAFAS, ACLSA, TSCC, etc.).


    • Experience developing policies, procedures, process, and workflows.
    • Two years of clinical supervisory experience in a behavioral health or child welfare settings.
    • Must hold certifications and/or professional clinical licenses (LMSW, LPC, LLP)
