The Pediatric Unit in the MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital is looking for experienced Clinical Nurses who are flexible, enthusiastic about family and patient-centered care, and passionate about pediatrics care.
Our 35-bed unit will allow you to care for all pediatrics patients in the following services lines: Pedi oncology, pediatrics surgical, pediatrics stem cell transplant and cellular therapy and young adult stem cell transplant and cellular therapy.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree and two years of recent inpatient nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics or oncology.
The Clinical Nurse will be responsible for providing care to pediatric and AYA (adolescent and young adults) hematology/oncology patients. This will include administering chemotherapy, blood products and immunotherapies.

REQUIREMENTS
Education Required:
Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Education Preferred:
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.
Experience Required:
One year of experience in an acute care setting
Experience Preferred:
Two years relevant clinical nursing experience.
Licensure/Certification Required:
Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Licensure/Certification Preferred:
Certification in oncology or specialty practice area.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification as required by patient care area.
