    Description

    GENERAL SUMMARY

    :

    The Psychotherapist's primary role as a part of the Crisis Team, is to complete screenings for individuals in various stages of psychiatric crises, provide de-escalation and stabilization interventions, and assess for disposition and aftercare recommendations on a rotating, "on-call" schedule, but they will have additional clinical responsibilities in the Outpatient Behavioral Health Program. They will carry a caseload of longer term therapy clients and may become involved in other opportunities of interest in the Behavioral Health Program. Psychotherapists are "on call" on a rotating schedule to complete assessments 24 hours/7 days a week and receive additional compensation for their time on call.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide individual and family crisis intervention, de-escalation, and stabilization in various settings including remotely and in the community
  • Complete crisis assessments for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing psychiatric crises
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy services
  • Document services in an electronic medical record system
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to provide disposition recommendations and ensure a warm hand-off for next level of care
  • Requires rotating on-call shift coverage that includes evening, weekends, and holidays
  • Work with other members of the Mobile Crisis Response Team to respond in our catchment area (Pilsen, Little Village, Lawndale)
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Marital Family Therapy or related behavioral health program is required, Master's Degree is preferred.
  • MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be culturally competent.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Must have valid driver's license and a car
  • REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

    LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC or LMFT preferred.
