- overseethe efficient operations of the Treatment Office by maintaining electroniccorrespondence (fax and copier), memos, and other documentation;
- contact referralsources daily and update/maintain referral spreadsheets;
- coordinate referrals,check and follow through with online referrals, and schedule referralappointments;
- initiate scheduledintakes for admissions counselors;
- engage clients onwaitlists and schedule appointments;
- answer and field allfront desk calls and conduct preliminary triage;
- complete initialtriage forms;
- meet schedulingproductivity goals as directed by the Admissions & UR Supervisor, ProgramManager and Program Director;
- run and distributereports;
- maintain and inputdaily updates on LADDS, OAD census and Service Point information for monthly,quarterly and annual reporting requirements;
- draft requisitionsfor the purchase of supplies; may involve entering information into anautomated system;
- conduct MEVS,background checks, UDS;
- distributeorientation booklets;
- coordinate viewing ofmandatory Narcan video;
- update census anddischarge reports daily and assign new clients to Counselors;
- participate in staffmeeting when necessary; and
- perform other dutiesas assigned.
- maintain anddistribute office supply inventory;
- screen incoming mailand draft responses to inquiries for information concerned with matters ofnon-technical nature and/or matter in which precedents are clear;
- maintain department'srecords system, including filing and retrieving documents, researching files,etc...;
- maintain inactivetreatment files;
- maintain SharePointfiles;
- manage clientcigarette storage and allotment;
- receive and passverbal and written feedback to clinical, medical, and other Residential staffas requested about client activity and behavior;
- complete all IncidentReports prior to the end of scheduled shift as required by Incident Policy andProcedure;
- conduct urine screensand complete all required documentation;
- monitor client phonecalls;
- assist with filing ofclient documentation;
- contact the ProgramManager in the event of a fire or evacuation of the treatment facility asrequired;
- contact the ProgramManager or the Recovery Support Staff/Behavioral Health Technician Supervisorif the Police or other law enforcement officials come to the Agency;
- scan documentationinto the Electronic Health Record;
- enter clientinformation into the Practice Management System; and
- perform other dutiesas assigned.
- Bachelor'sDegree in a human service related field
- Proficientin MS Office Suite
- Atleast 6 months experience with substance abuse treatment
- Excellentcommunication skills
- Morethan 2 years of substance abuse treatment experience
- Atleast 1 year of Electronic Health Record system experience
- Atleast 1 year of MS Access experience
- Knowledgeof Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous principles

OdysseyHouse Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a full-time Engagement Specialist for theAdult Residential Program. The schedule is Monday-Friday 10 am-7 pm, withrotating weekends.
The Engagement Specialist performs a variety ofadministrative tasks for the Residential Program and also assists theAdmissions & UR Supervisor, Residential Program Manager and ProgramDirector.
