    MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

    The Marketing & Communications Specialist is a versatile communications and marketing professional, that holds a pivotal and multifaceted role with diverse responsibilities. Key priorities involve Marketing & Proposals, Social Media, Event Planning, Project Public Relations, and CRM Management. This position falls within the office job family and reports to the Principal in Charge - Integrator. Performs additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    1. Marketing & Proposals: Responsible for identifying and targeting pertinent projects for QRSE. Crafting persuasive and well-structured proposals to showcase our capabilities and position us as the preferred choice for potential clients. Maintain an organized and up-to-date company database, ensuring project write-ups and employee resumes accurately reflect our achievements and capabilities. Diligently track and manage company certifications, ensuring compliance and up-to-date qualifications.
    2. Social Media: Craft engaging and impactful social media and website content, ensuring a strong online presence and audience engagement. Your expertise will drive brand growth and effectively communicate the organization's value to stakeholders across diverse platforms and initiatives. Utilize systems such as Canva, AirTable, Teams, LinkedIn and more.
    3. Event Planning: Collaborate closely with upper management to strategize and coordinate a diverse array of company and client events. Keen eye for detail and strategic thinking in conceptualizing and planning events that align with our organizational values. Execute seamless event plans, involving meticulous coordination, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to dynamic event environments, all contributing to the successful realization of memorable and impactful events.
    4. Project Public Relations: Communicate with participating agencies regarding transportation projects. Interface with the various stakeholders, facilitating intergovernmental coordination and public outreach for projects during construction.
    5. CRM Management: Responsible for the proficient management of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Oversee the company's interactions and relationships with existing and potential clients by maintaining and updating customer databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date contact information, interaction histories, and preferences. Tailor the CRM to meet the specific needs of QRSE and train team members on its effective usage.

    Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. [KK1] 5-10 years of public outreach and marketing experience.


    Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience with Microsoft Publisher, AirTable Canva, WordPress, HubSpot, and PR/PR teams for heavy civil construction projects.


    Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct reports but may utilize support staff or consultant to accomplish objectives.


    Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. Hybrid work may be available.


    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to manipulate computer input devices, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. HST. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


    Travel: This position may require attending or presenting at public meetings. Travel to neighbor islands may be required depending on project assignments. Driving and running [KK2] errands are included as part of the job duties.

    Salary: $50,000 - $85,000 BOE
