Finance/Accounting Position Summary The Finance Manager
Finance Director, Operations with building out and providing ongoing financial metrics and data points so that business strategies can be refined and improved.
The Operations Controller must also be available to help develop custom reporting and provide fact-based guidance upon request for various business purposes.
This position is responsible for maintaining the appropriate financial reporting control environment for inventory valuation, including the review and approval of JEs, account reconciliations and SOX controls.
Core Duties and Responsibilities Develop cost reporting processes for the communication of monthly/quarterly actual results vs budgetResponsible for completeness and accuracy of inventory and cost of goods sold balances for monthly and quarterly internal reporting and quarterly external reporting including ensuring operating effectiveness of required SOX controlsAnalyze sales order, purchase order, and work order ERP configurations to ensure accurate and timely reportingReview and maintain accurate BOM structure costing for the Business UnitAnalyze Labor and Overhead for the business by product group, help develop labor trackingEstablish productivity metricsResponsible for budgeting and forecasting costs.
Work with Operations teams to accurately forecast financial dataAssist in coordination of capital expenditure and capacity planning for operationsDevelop cost down tracking for key productsResponsible for Inventory accuracy and working capital KPI development and monitoring for the business.
Drive process changes and install best practices as neededDevelop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of department and business objectives through collaboration and communicationPrepare and execute strategies that optimize working capitalLeverage Business Intelligence tools to reduce manual work and automate financial reportingProvide relevant, accurate, and timely financial information to management for decision makingOversight of SOX controls and compliance for inventory valuationRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting/FinanceCPA/CMA preferredPublic Company Experience PreferredSeven to ten year of related work experience including experience within manufacturing operationsExperience with SEC Reporting and meeting related deadlinesProven experience navigating and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations in a corporate environmentFinancial systems ERP experienceCost Accounting experienceDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailSuperior communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office softwareAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyAbility to role model high standards of professionalismExcellent follow-throughMust be driven and self-motivatedMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work qualityPlug Power, Inc.
