- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of construction managers and administrative personnel, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and resources to achieve project goals.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and implement training programs to optimize team performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication and problem-solving within the team.
- Own and manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) for assigned region, driving profitable growth through strategic planning, cost control, and revenue generation initiatives.
- Oversee all aspects of fiber construction projects within your district, including planning, execution, and completion.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges, proactively implementing solutions to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including engineering, permitting, and materials procurement, to ensure project needs are met.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary to maintain efficiency and quality.
- Possess a strong understanding of fiber optic technology, including aerial and underground construction methods, splicing, and testing procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in fiber construction.
- Review and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with project stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Present project updates and reports to senior management.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and negotiate effectively to resolve issues and achieve project objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fiber optic outside plant construction.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing managers and field personnel.
- Proven track record of successfully managing teams and delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned district.
