    Primary Responsibilities In the role of Designer/EIT Water Resources, we'll count on you to:


    • Work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities
    • Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations
    • Focus on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source design
    • Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies
    • Perform other duties as neededQualificationsRequired Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.
    • EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Water Resources Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
    • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD.
    • Self-motivated, strong attention to detail, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task.
    • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustPreferred Qualifications Two years of related experience in surface water or related field. Experience using AutoCAD for mapping, design tasks, and drawing preparation. Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis tools, modeling software with an interest in water, sewer and stormwater modeling. Experience with ArcGIS software with use in mapping and basic data analysis in support of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. Experience in preparing subsurface utility engineering reports, construction stormwater management and erosion control plans and reports. Local candidates preferred.
