- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the corporate accounting department including: month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, cash, forecasting revenue and expenditure, variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, investment statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity.
- Lead the budget process for the Annual Operating Plan for KOMAN Holdings administrative departments.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
- Coordinate and assist with completion of annual financial statement and workers compensation audits.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Professionally interact with colleagues, members of the public, clients, and business associates.
- Comply with all company policies and applicable laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
- 7 years experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager required
- 2 years of federal contract accounting
- Strong MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel required
- Strong Project-based ERP system experience.
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to make sure multiple deadlines are met.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must have effective problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
