King's Ridge Christian School (KRCS), founded in 2001 for the advancement of Christian education is a PK-12 co-educational Christian day school that is accredited by CESA and SAIS. Our mission is to be "a Christian community providing a college-preparatory education equipping students to know, to believe, and to serve."

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Supervise programs and services provided through Academic Support.
· Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Academic Support Program which serves students in grades K-12
· Assist in selecting and interviewing Academic Support faculty and staff members.
· Organize scheduling for the Academic Support faculty.
· Supervise the Academic Support faculty and auxiliary teachers (i.e., educational therapists).
· Coordinate with outside contractors for student support (i.e., speech, occupational therapy (OT), etc.).
· Manage the on-campus tutoring program
· Provide support and staff development opportunities for Academic Support faculty members and contribute to the professional development of all KRCS faculty and staff.
· Oversee the screening and formal psychological testing of students.
· Analyze student records to determine accommodation plans and monitor the preparation of all accommodation plans.
· Monitor percentages of Academic Support students per grade level.
· Monitor and provide guidance for the Response to Intervention (RTI) program.
· Guide the development of the curriculum for the Academic Support program.
· Manage the ordering of materials and supplemental aids for Academic Support staff in coordination with division principals.
· Work with Associate Head of School for Academics in the evaluation and adjustment of current Academic Support programs and services as well as in planning for the future growth and development of programs and services.
· Oversee all Academic Support budgets and maintain accurate billing information.
· Aid students in recognizing and reaching their full potential.
· Explain results of screening and/or psychological testing to students and parents as appropriate.
· Assist students in preparation for college and career choices.
· Oversee SAT/ACT applications and administration for students with accommodation plans.
· Support the administration and principals in providing services to struggling students
· Oversee the review of academic records for applicants as requested by principals and the Admissions department.
· Assist in recommendations for acceptance as requested by principals.
· Provide educational screening when necessary.
· Communicate with principals regarding struggling students and intervention plans.
· Provide support services for teachers and parents through in-services and consultations.
· Maintain active and current resource files for school leaders, teachers, and parents.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ and be in agreement with the philosophies and Statement of Faith of King's Ridge Christian School.
- A master's degree
- Bachelor's degree or teacher certification in special education.
- Experience with psychoeducational testing, individual academic plan processes, and reporting
- Experience working with students who have a variety of learning needs and abilities.
- Knowledge of multi-sensory teaching techniques, Orton-Gillingham and NILD therapy is expected.
- The ideal applicant must have leadership and administrative experience and must be able to work in a highly collaborative environment with other educational professionals.
