• State Licensure Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid Special Education Teaching license/certification issued by the state of Illinois.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, tailored to address their unique learning styles and abilities.
• Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, social skills, and functional life skills to students with a range of disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students in inclusive classroom settings, collaborating with general education teachers and support staff as needed.
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor students' progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly, ensuring that educational goals are met.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
