Agency Overview:
A&F IT is a unit under the Executive Office for Administration & Finance (A&F) and is overseen by the A&F IT Secretariat Chief Information Officer (A&F SCIO).
A&F IT is comprised of more than 200 employees working on IT systems and applications for 15 various A&F agencies.
A&F IT oversees and provides all the IT application support for these agencies to ensure their IT operations are running effectively and efficiently.
Position Summary:
A&F IT Support is seeking a motivated, experienced Senior Application Developer to join our Enterprise Services Group. In this position, you will design, develop, and implement applications that are both internal and external facing. In addition to developing new systems, you may be required to update existing applications.
This position requires that the candidate be skilled in ASP.NET, C#, XML, Oracle, SQL Server and able to design, develop, and support ANF Enterprise Services applications.
Preferred skills include experience in the Microsoft 365 Power Platform and the ability to leverage Power Apps to create interactive dashboards, and canvases to automate workflows.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a team to design, development, build, test, and deploy applications by using ASP.NET, C#, MVC, XML, Oracle, SQL Server, jQuery and web services.
Thoroughly test all code to ensure that programs are functioning correctly.
Develop and test stored procedures, user defined functions, triggers, and other objects that assist in the implementation of business rules/logic.
Develop solutions in Microsoft Power Platform by using Power Automate, Power BI and SharePoint.Assist Power users build and maintain their own Power Platform solutions.
Create IT documents for knowledge base, user guides, and other various communications systems.
Follow established business, technical and project policies and guidelines aligned with ANF and EOTSS principles and standards to include the following:
use of best practices, meeting management, project plans, status reports and dashboards, risk and issue tracking, change requests and resource management.
Collect data and report on technical metrics to be used to determine success factors using established project tools and processes during development and support.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
Minimum 5 years' experience with ASP.NET, C#, XML, Web API, MVC and Oracle
Experience in database design using Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience in Web Services (SOAP or REST) and WSDL.
Experience configuring and implementing Power Apps.
Experience with integration, deployments and troubleshooting.
Experience with advanced query design, stored procedures, views and functions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage timelines and tasks.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate with technical and business resources at many levels in a manner that supports progress and success.
Ability to understand, appreciate and adapt to new business cultures and ways of working.
Demonstrates initiative and works independently with minimal supervision.
As part of the Future of Work initiative, the agency is adopting a hybrid work model. Hybrid work is a mix of in-office work and telework. This position will work remotely some days and in-person on other days.
An external candidate recommended for a position with the Executive Office for Administration and Finance IT will be subject to a background check that includes checks for:
