    Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

    Location: Bergenfield, NJ

    Description: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Bergenfield, NJ. As an SLP in our school, you will work collaboratively with students, teachers, and families to provide prehensive speech and language services to students with munication disorders. Your role will involve assessing students, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and monitoring progress to help students achieve their munication goals and succeed academically and socially.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct prehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language skills, including receptive and expressive language, articulation, fluency, and pragmatic language abilities.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, addressing areas of need and targeting specific speech and language goals.
    • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based interventions and techniques to improve munication skills.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate speech and language goals into students' educational programs and support their participation in classroom activities.
    • Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, regularly reviewing goals and objectives to ensure meaningful outes.
    • Document assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in pliance with school and state regulations.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to discuss students' progress, share remendations, and coordinate services.
    • Provide education and support to teachers and staff on strategies for promoting speech and language development in the classroom and facilitating munication with students.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

    Certifications:

    • Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
    • Valid New Jersey state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working with school-aged children with a variety of speech and language disorders, including articulation disorders, language delays, fluency disorders, and social munication difficulties.
    • Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative munication (AAC) systems and assistive technology devices to support students with plex munication needs.
    • Strong interpersonal and munication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
    • Experience with conducting assessments, writing reports, and developing IEP goals in pliance with state and federal regulations.
