This position is in Region 8, Office of Regional Counsel, Legal Enforcement Branch, CERCLA Enforcement Section. About Region 8:
This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

Duties
You will:-
Provide legal advice, perform legal research, prepare legal documentation, and provide policy recommendations regarding the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act and other environmental statutes.
Participate in civil administrative or judicial litigation activities.
-Perform a full range of affirmative enforcement and litigation activities arising under the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act and other environmental statutes.
Work closely with the EPA Office of Site Remediation Enforcement, . Department of Justice, and state partners to represent EPA in administrative and judicial enforcement proceedings.
Work on interdisciplinary teams that include environmental scientists, engineers, and specialists.
Draft Agency determinations, proposed regulations, and Federal Register Notices.
Perform negotiation, informal dispute resolution, and assist with regional representational work in enforcement and other matters in both administrative and judicial forums.
Perform specialized teamwork, including on Freedom of Information Act requests, records management, and other government information law matters.
Work closely alongside others with different viewpoints and social identities from your own (including race, religion, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability and genetic information).
