    Baskervill is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary design firm with offices throughout the country and in Gdansk, Poland. Our Richmond office is currently looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the firm's financial operations and monitor financial performance. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from strategy and data analysis to risk management processes.     What you'll be doing:

    • Preparation of all financial statements, including but not limited to income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports,
    • Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations to identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement; projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share,
    • Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for earnings calls, management team, and departments,
    • Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments and evaluate and manage capital structure,
    • Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization,
    • Comply with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action,
    • Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting,
    • Provide strategic guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions; identify opportunities for expansion into new areas.

    Here's what you'll need:

    • MBA or bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance required, master's preferred,
    • Professional certification (ex; CPA, CFA) preferred,
    • Minimum 10 years' experience in accounting and financial management practices,
    • Experience in a Senior Financial Management role required,
    • Solid GAAP and financial reporting technical skills,
    • International finance experience a plus,
    • Deltek and Paylocity experience preferred,
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software; Excel proficiency a must.
