    Position Summary:


    The Program Coordinator works as a member of the team to provide a well- organized, atheistically pleasing room with superior curriculum and highly trained staff members in order to provide an environment that allows all clients the opportunity to acquire needed skills to advance socially and academically.

    The Program Coordinator will be responsible for all areas of management duties necessary to meet preschool program implementation.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Contributes to providing quality ABA therapy and Parent Training for clients of Easterseals in whatever capacity is required in accordance with skills and training.
    • Maintains awareness of trends and best practices in the field of Behavior Analysis and Child Development.
    Classroom Set-up, Management and Support

    • Ensures cleanliness and organization of room, providing an environment that promotes optimum learning opportunities
    • Prepares daily schedules of activities and staff assignments.
    • Conducts assessments for clients as directed by the BCBA.
    • Promotes peer mediated instruction (PMI).
    • Ensures the use of antecedent-based interventions (ABI).
    • Ensures behavioral protocols are being followed consistently and effectively.
    • Provides preschool client progress reports as directed by the BCBA and/or Program Director.
    • Distributes curriculum assignments to therapists two week before implementation.
    • Checks curriculum kits when therapists complete them to ensure accuracy.
    • Creates activity plan one week before implementation.
    • Sets up room zones on Friday afternoon with the next week's materials.
    • Ensures curriculum is prepared, toys rotated, probes prepared, and broken toys are replaced.
    • Ensures visual aids/materials in room are current.
    • Graphs PLA Check and probe data.
    Collaboration and Supervision

    • Provides training for staff members and clients in methods to support positive interactions between children.
    • Conducts monthly check-list training of staff members and provides report to Program Director.
    • Conducts monthly individual staff training on teaching methods.
    • Meets with supervising BCBA each week to collaborate with classroom management.
    Compliance

    • Ensures client and family confidentiality by complying with Easterseals North Texas policies and procedures, HIPAA (Health Portability and Accessibility Act) requirements, and any other privacy requirements as may be specified by referral sources, funders, or other licensing and regulatory entities.
    • Ensures the safety and security of clients, staff, volunteers and visitors by knowing and following all safety procedures as required by Easterseals North Texas policies and procedures and any other referral sources, funders, or other licensing and regulatory entities, and understands the consequences of non-compliance.
    • Adheres to code of ethics policies and procedures as defined in the ESNT Employee Policy Manual and by other regulating agencies.
    • Assists in ensuring licensing standards are adhered to at all times
    General

    • Contributes to providing quality care for clients in whatever capacity is required in accordance with skills and training.
    • Maintains awareness of trends and best practices.
    • Communicates in a manner that is respectful and courteous to all clients, staff, families, vendors, etc.
    • Maintains clear and open communication with supervisor in all matters.
    • Maintains a positive working relationship with supervisor and staff.
    • Provides support services in other areas as requested by supervisor
    Training

    • Attends 24 clock hours in program development as required by licensing.
    • Attends and passes CPR/First-Aid course as required by licensing

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree, Major:
    Applied Behavior Analysis, Child Development, Psychology, or related field, preferred

    • Enrolled in graduate coursework in a related field, preferred.
    • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Credential
    • Two years classroom management experience preferred
    • Experience working with children with Autism/Autism Spectrum Disorder.
    • Knowledgeable in the Principles of Applied Behavior Analysis required
    • Handling fast-paced classroom with multiple priorities with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy
    • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Current driver's license and proof of automobile insurance if travel in the Central Texas area is required.

    Program Summary:
    Easterseals Lonestar Child Development Program is the only full replication of the Walden Early Childhood Center developed by Dr. Gail McGee.

    We provide a fully inclusive program, supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), to increase skills in language and socialization.

    With the acquisition of these skills, alongside their typically developing peers, they can begin to acquire new skills in a more natural environment.
