Threat Tec, LLC a veteran owned small business, has an immediate opening for a TRADOC G2 US Army Pacific (USARPAC) Scenario Planner at the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center (JPMRC), Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
The intended purpose of this support is to refine the JPMRC Organization and Operations (O&O) Plan based on operational lessons learned, cost-benefit analysis, operational analysis, and refinement of manning and equipping TDAs based on emerging HQDA guidance, directives, and outcomes of JPMRC Combat Training Center (CTC) rotations and OPERATION PATHWAYS exercises.
Near-Term, defined as the ability to execute annually two CTC rotations consisting of a BCT with Echelons Above Brigade (EAB) units supported by a Division HQ with one rotation is Alaska and one in Hawaii scheduled to allow for the transportation of the JPMRC-Instrumentation System (JPMRC-IS) and to execute one OPERATION PATHWAYS Battalion Task Force (BNTF) level live instrumented maneuver FTX; Mid-Term, defined as the ability to train annually two BCT with EAB units supported by a Division HQ Tactical Command Post (TAC) with one rotation in Alaska and one in Hawaii scheduled to allow for the transportation of the JPMRC-IS and to execute two OPERATION PATHWAYS BNTF level live instrumented maneuver Field Training Exercise (FTX); and Long-Term, defined as the ability to train annually two BCT with EAB units supported by a Division HQ TAC with one rotation in Alaska and one in Hawaii scheduled to allow for the transportation of the JPMRC-IS and to execute multiple OPERATION PATHWAYS live instrumented maneuver FTX up to BCT level.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:The OPFOR planner shall provide a variety of OPFOR for Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) operational plans and Exercise Control (EXCON) operations in support of all Warfighting Functions (WFFs)
Provide continuous planning and coordination support through the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) events and exercise execution providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice and recommendations to the Chief of Operations Group and OPSGRP planners on how to train and use the OPFOR to best achieve the RTU's training objectives
Coordinate with TRADOC G2 to leverage databases, tools, and training courses during the JELC planning and exercise execution
Develop JPMRC OPFOR Academy content, deliver training and validation
Develop training products, orders production, recommend OPFOR Doctrine and Tactics, assist in OPFOR training and academics
Support the OPFOR Tigerland Action Force (TAF), and provide the coaching and support to the OPFOR Commander on the application of OPFOR tactics and techniques'
During a rotation the OPFOR planning team must be able to advise the OPFOR in a field environment and upon request, operate overnight
The Government requires the above qualifications; however, a MEL 4 branch qualified individual in the respective functional area is desired.
MEL 4 branch qualified individual
5+ years of experience with training with the Army or Joint organizations
Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of Army and Joint training programs
Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills
Experience with training Army or Joint units in small unit live environments, including lanes, situational training exercises (STX), or command and staff constructive environments, including command post exercises (CPX)
Experience with supporting or facilitating the Joint Exercise Life Cycle
Knowledge of mission command systems
Knowledge of the principles, methods, processes, and applicable regulations involved in supporting military operations
Knowledge of military training, doctrine, planning, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
Additional Qualifications (desired):
Experience with using Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Experience as a Collective Trainer or Exercise Designer
Experience as a staff member at a Combat Training Center (CTC)
Bachelor's degree
