About us

South Shore Partners is family-owned investment company in Columbus, OH with a primary focus on real estate.

Our work environment includes:

  • Relaxed atmosphere
  • Flexible working hours

Primary Responsibilities

  • Make and record bank deposits
  • Process accounts payable (4-5 hours per week)
  • Process recurring payments (monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Confirm bank activity & make accounting entries
  • Retrieve and reconcile bank statements
  • Update Cash Balances spreadsheet – Quarterly
  • Download bank & investment account statements
  • Assist with end-of-year tasks (budget, distributions, 1099 preparation, etc.)
  • Update Notes Payable & Notes Receivable
  • Assist in resolving accounting issues and discrepancies
  • Scan and file all tax-related documents (K1's, 1099's, etc.)
  • Office Management - Opening mail, water plants, maintain office supplies

Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years' experience Accounting / Bookkeeping
  • Fundamental Accounting Processes - Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, General Ledger), Journal Entries, Equity Accounts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and knowledge of accounting software systems. (QuickBooks experience preferred)
  • Data entry and e-file management

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
