    Job Description

    The Paralegal Specialist will be located in the Office of Chief Counsel – Aviation at the Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) in Richmond, VA. The specialist will assist attorneys in investigating, gathering, compiling, classifying, interpreting, and summarizing facts and statistical data. This may involve interviewing witnesses, collecting documents and statements, and reviewing and compiling case files.

    The Paralegal Specialist will also research and write legal memoranda on a wide variety of issues. Additionally, they will prepare litigation and case reports to submit to the DLA General Counsel, DoJ, and criminal investigators. Researching and analyzing public filings and other records maintained by government entities throughout the country to determine the nature of individual and business organizations and relationships is also a key responsibility.

    Requirements

    • To qualify for a Paralegal Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
    • A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.
    • B. Education Substitution: Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
    • C. Combination: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for grade levels GS-09 and GS-11.
