    SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:
    Provides Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services to individuals with substance use disorders, mental health disorders and/or co occurring disorders. Provides Individual and Group Psychiatric Rehabilitation services. Also is responsible for referral to other appropriate services and coordination with other service providers. Performs related tasks as required.


    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Knowledge and demonstration of agency core values in day to day activities
    • Meets productivity standard annually
    • Meets documentation timeliness standards
    • Demonstrates ability to effectively use technology and appropriate use of support
    • Follows Agency policies and procedures
    • Completes yearly update trainings
    • Provides psychiatric rehabilitation services including group and individual sessions, to assist individuals in meeting life role goals
    • Implements client individual action plan, objectives and methods consistent with assessment of problem
    • Coordinates services with other staff and other agencies
    • Contacts collaterals and family members to encourage their participation in client's treatment as well as their own treatment, if needed
    • Serves as resource person/consultant to other service providers in identifying clients for referral and works cooperatively with other providers to assure linkage of clients with appropriate services
    • Prepares reports, maintains clinical files, participates in training and provides statistical materials
    • Assures that advocacy, linking, expediting and related activities are carried out as needed
    • May provide site based or community based services
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    COMPETENCIES:

    • Must be trained and demonstrate a basic knowledge and understanding of working with populations, individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness or substance use disorders
    • Must be proficient in the use of computers and computer software. Familiar with all Microsoft products
    • Training in Motivational Interviewing and possess an understanding of domestic violence

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School Diploma and one to three (1-3) years of experience in a Mental Health or Human Services setting
    • Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year experience

    EXPERIENCE:

    • One to three years in Mental Health or Human Services setting dependent on certification/education
    Must possess a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, and possess a personal vehicle for job requirement


    COMPENSATION:
    $ $29.44/hr
