    The Transportation Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing operations, ensuring that freight is loaded or unloaded in accordance with established safety and cost standards, including the planning, assigning, supervising and evaluating employee workload, as well as interfacing directly with all levels of terminal staff

    M-F 6a-4pEssential Duties & Responsibilities: Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all driversProvides constant communications of service issues to appropriate personnel and departmentsOversees inventory management, delivery/logistics, regulatory compliance, productivity improvement, planning and organization, problem solving, project management and communicating to top-level managementManage and direct the operational functions while being the key link between the organization, drivers, and customersOversees and ensures all customer pick-up and delivery requirements are meeting customer standardsOversee and ensure that equipment performance standards are being met to company specificationsMonitor and uphold company safety requirements on all equipmentOversee and ensure the retention of driversProvide coaching and mentoring to all employees within the operation to achieve flawless customer service and key operating factor goalsPerforms duties as neededRequirements:BA / BS degree desiredAt least 5-7 years of experience as a supervisor or manager in transportationWorking knowledge of DOT rules and regulationsComputer applications using MS OfficeExcellent supervisory skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsOther:Ability to travel at a moments notice for perhaps extended periods of timeAbility and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends holidays as needed#LI-MB3Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
