    SENIOR PARK AIDE (SEASONAL) - CENTRAL VALLEY DISTRICT / FOUR RIVERS SECTOR

    Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program. Applicants who receive State public assistance need to identify their status as a CalWORKS recipient in the comments area on the application. Applicants must submit a verification of their CalWORKS eligibility status, which may include the most recent Notice of Action showing TANF eligibility or a copy of your last aid check stub.     The Senior Park Aide works under the supervision of the Dos Rios Ranch Park Manager. The work reporting location is Dos Rios Ranch with reporting locations within the neighboring five river parks.

    This position is responsible for the day-to-day visitor services operations including campground and day use operation, resource management, interpretation, welcome center operation. Under the general direction and supervision of the Park Manager, the Senior Park Aide is the lead responsible for assisting park aides in performing routine public contact work in State Park facilities and grounds and assisting with educational programs. The Senior Park Aide also answers questions on rules, regulations, and facilities for the public and other related work.

    The Senior Park Aide is to maintain the daily operation of the visitor center/kiosk, park or facility entrance, collect fees, assist with educational programs and provide information to park visitors. The Senior Park Aide must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and visitors, perform arithmetic and prepare both written and computer-generated documents, perform both vehicle and foot patrols in and around campgrounds and trails, work nights and weekends, perform housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, sweeping and dusting and lift at least 25 pounds.

    The purchase of a uniform is required.
