About the Position
The academic professional or senior academic professional role at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering involves enhancing the curriculum through Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Technical Communication. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in developing engaging, project-based courses and integrating technical communication within an engineering context.
Responsibilities
This position offers a unique chance to shape the educational experience of students at a leading engineering school.
Required Qualifications
Academic Professional: Terminal degree in Industrial Engineering, Operation Research, English, Technical Communication, Engineering Education, or related field. Significant experience and recognition from peers.
Senior Academic Professional: Terminal degree in relevant field, evidence of superior performance, recognition by peers, and at least five years as an Academic Professional or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Experience: Experience in project-based learning and technical communication within academic or industrial settings. Teaching experience at the university level is a plus.
Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in curriculum design, project-based learning, technical writing, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Student Success Criteria: Ability to mentor a diverse student body, create inclusive learning environments, and engage students in experiential learning activities.
