- Provides general information related to Title V Grant
- Guides students in developing accountability for their decisions and in understanding how those decisions impact their success. Assists students with study skills, time management, academic course intervention, and other college-related skills areas as needed
- Sets appointments with students in Title V for the purpose of mentoring support. Coordinates tutor and tutee meetings
- Records, prepares, maintains, and reviews forms, and performs data entry
- Provides handouts and/or forms to potential Title V participants
- Plans a variety of Title V Student Support Services (SSS) events and activities
- Participates in Title V workshops and visiting groups
- Assists with or provides event preparation & gives campus tours
- Maintains knowledge of multiple programs
- Responsible for other reasonable, related job duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience (may include academic coaching, tutoring, mentoring or related activities), or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be a currently enrolled Lone Star student

Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
This position will assist college students with academic support through mentoring. As a PT Specialist III, Peer Support Title V, this position assists other students in adjusting to college life. Required to provide high level of information. Will interact one-on-one and in group setting with students. Will work with and assist diverse groups and provide a high level of customer service and support to Title V students. This is a temporary, grant-funded position. Continuation of the position from one academic year to the next is dependent upon continued grant funding.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
Hourly Pay Rate is $14.55
