    Description

    Completes competency evaluations and supervisory visits for CNA. (20%)

    Performs competency evaluations for new CNAs and annually for FT and PRN CNAs.

    Teaches CNAs any skills identified as unsatisfactory on competency evaluation.

    Performs supervisory visits PRN for CNAs.

    Schedules CNAs as needed. (40%)

    Assign home health aides and CNA's to patients.

    Enters staff assignment data into EMR

    Contact PRN staff to ensure availability.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Supervises staff (40%)

    Interviews and hires employees

    Trains, coaches and counsels staff

    Performs performance appraisals in a timely manner

    Investigates and implements disciplinary issues; discharges staff if necessary.

    Demonstrates the ability to anticipate project/team needs, discern work priorities and meet deadlines.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    3- year previous supervisory experience required.

    Experience working with CNAs preferred.

    Previous home health or hospice experience required.

    Valid Texas driver's license, auto liability insurance and safe driving record.

    Knowledge of hospice federal and state regulations preferred.

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    Strong computer skills including knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products and experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
