    The

    Engineering Manager

    will recruit, train and direct engineering talent to help STC meet its local and corporate objectives. They will identify projects to help cut costs and improve processes throughout the organization.

    Responsibilities Include:
    Lead Engineering team to identify areas to reduce waste and improve the manufacturing or supply chain processes.
    Oversee and lead projects in manufacturing, supply chain, and safety.
    Recruit and develop engineering staff to meet the needs of the plant and company.
    Direct performance management activity for all direct reports. Address nonperformance issues accordingly.
    Oversee large projects within the department to ensure that they are being completed on time and on budget.
    Advise corporate and global facilities on engineering projects as needed.
    Monitor project and workload activity of Engineering team and prioritize projects accordingly.
    Lead LEAN projects, Continuous Process Improvement Initiatives, Root Cause Analyses, and similar events. Utilize the learnings to create solutions and develop plans to drive the findings into the process(es) via SOPs,

    training/development,

    corrective action, etc.
    Perform ad hoc and cross-functional projects as assigned.

    Qualifications include:
    Education

    Preferred:
    Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
    Experience

    Required: 4-6 years of supporting manufacturing operations
    Skills

    Required:
    Excellent problem solving and communication skills

    Preferred: 5S or 6 -sigma training
    Special Requirements

    Required:
    Ability to travel as needed (possibly internationally)
